Dumbbells
There are many benefits of exercising with dumbbells for both male and female. For example; when performing a single arm shoulder press with a dumbbell especially while in a sitting positions one side of your core muscles are mostly engaged, the same is done when arms are switch. Unlike dumbbells, barbells are better use for multilateral exercises; Such as squats, deadlifts benchpress etc... When performing exercise using barbell multiple muscle groups are engaged in each movement. There are also many benefits when exercising with barbells. Barbells increases overall body strength, it also create better posture, and helps align and strengthen spinal core. whether it is benchpress, deadlifts or squats barbells increases endurance and muscle gains. It mostly engages center body muscles such as; the pectoralis, trapezius, rectus abdominis and adductors longus. In other words, exercising with barbells improves chest, back, abs, thighs and legs muscles.
Resistance Bands
Resistance bands are an inexpensive addition to your home gym equipment. There are many benefits of resistance bands. Below we will be discussing some of these benefits; Adjustable: Resistance bands come in multiple resistance levels, usually light, medium or heavy. You can further adjust the amount of resistance during exercise just by giving more or less slack on the band, as well as by combining multiple resistance bands to increase the challenge. Full Body Workout: Many resistance band kits come with suggested exercises for nearly every major muscle group in your body. Stepping on one end of a resistance band or looping it around a stationary object, for example, opens up many exercise possibilities. Very Little Space needed for storage: When you don’t have a lot of room for a home gym, resistance bands are a great option because it can be store in very little space. You can hang them on a hook after you exercise, or coil them up to store in a box or drawer. Mobile: Because they are so small and portable, resistance bands are a great way to take your workout with you when you travel. There are many resistance band exercises that can easily be done in the small space of a hotel room. Do Not require assistance: Resistance bands offer strength-training without the risk of dropping a heavy weight on your foot or crushing any part of your body. That makes them ideal for working out when you don’t have a personal trainer or exercise partner to spot you. Versatiles: While resistance bands work great on their own, they can also be combined with other exercise equipment. Performing bicep curls with both a resistance band and a dumbbell will give you the combined benefits of each type of equipment. And I personally use resistance band for dynamic stretching post workout.
